How to Undo a Bulk Edit
This guide explains how to undo, or revert, a bulk product edit in Ablestar Bulk Product Editor. This is useful when you need to roll back prices after a sale or correct bulk edits quickly.
How to Find your History
There are two methods to find your edit history:
- From the app dashboard, click History in the left-hand menu to open the edit history page.
- From the app dashboard, click the 'Bulk edits' number on the home page of the app.
How to Undo Previous Edits
Once you are on the 'History' view:
- Click on the magnifying glass icon to search by keyword
- Double-click on the edit name row to modify
- One the list of edit appears, click the Undo button to revert changes
- Progress status will appear
Optionally, if you prefer to make your edits from a filtered spreadsheet with more granular control, you can click the Download log button to generate a spreadsheet for the changes on that date. This is helpful in the case you need to change granular details from that backup date, and not a full reversal.
✅ Tips and Troubleshooting
- Progress status does not need to be monitored. You can close the tab and the edit undo process will continue in the background.
- When you undo an edit, the value of the entire field (title, price, tags etc..) gets set back to the value it had before the edit. If the field was modified between the edit and the undo, those changes will be overwritten.
- Edit retention periods vary by plan, typically ranging from 30 to 180 days. These periods determine how long our app keeps the logs necessary for undoing edits
