How to Create Recurring Edits

Ablestar Bulk Product Editor allows you to create recurring edits to make your store more efficient. You can use this feature to hide or unpublish out of stock products or make sure all products without images are not visible on a recurring schedule.

This feature is only available on Advanced and Professional plans.

Filter your Products

From Ablestar Bulk Product Editor dashboard, filter a set of products that are missing images (or any other preferred filter) and click Edit products to get to the 'Configure modifications' view.

Specify the configuration:

  • Field to edit: search 'Sales channel publishing' and select your sales channel from the picklist:

  • Status: choose your publishing option to determine if you want the product hidden or visible:
    1. Published on sales channel
    2. Not published on sales channel
  • Click the Recurring Edit button to continue

Configure the Schedule

Once the next window frame appears, specify the recurring schedule, similar to:

  • Title: Specify a unique title
  • Frequency: Choose your preferred frequency:
    1. Monthly
    2. Weekly
    3. Daily
    4. Every 2 hours
    5. Hourly
  • Status: Set to 'Active' or 'Pause' once the edit is no longer needed
  • Timezone: Change as needed

Click Save from the admin bar to apply all changes and create the recurring rule.

Before saving any new rule, the app will check whether an existing (and potentially conflicting) edit is already running for that automation.

Once the rule is saved, the job will run as scheduled to update any active products without images so they are not visible to users.

Modify Recurring Rules

You can access all of your existing Recurring product rules from the dashboard view:

From the Dashboard → Automations → Recurring edits tab:

Click any row to modify, run now or delete the recurring product rule:
