Editing Online Store Visibility

Shopify offers both online and POS visibility. You can use Ablestar Bulk Product Editor to modify your Online store visibility by publishing the status of the Sales channel.

Confirm your Sales channels are setup and configured through the Shopify 'Settings' gear icon, and then navigate to the 'Apps and sales channels' menu.

Choose if you prefer the 'In-App Edit' or 'Spreadsheet' method:

1. In-App Edits

From the 'Configure modifications' view:

  • Field to edit: Search for 'Sales channel' and select the channel you want to update

  • Status: choose your publishing option to determine if you want the product hidden or visible:
    • Published on sales channel
    • Not published on sales channel

2. Spreadsheet Edits

Prep your spreadsheet to include the identifier (1st column) and action (2nd column) data in any of these formats:

  • 0, false, no, unpublished: indicates the product should not be published to the online store
  • 1, true, yes, published: indicates the product should be published to the online store
  • Schedule date: A date in the format 2024-11-07 12:00:00 : indicates the product should be published at this time. if the time is in the past the product will be published immediately, otherwise you can schedule the product to be published at a future time

Values on spreadsheets are case-insensitive and leading/trailing spaces will be removed:

The system will recognize when there is new or updated data present on the spreadsheet. Click the related article to see more advanced spreadsheet detail.
