Editing Product Titles

You can use Ablestar Bulk Product Editor to modify product titles in bulk. Choose if you prefer the 'In-App Edit' or 'Spreadsheet' method:

1. In-App Edits

From the Products dashboard, once you have filtered the products you want to edit and click the Edit products button, you will redirect to the 'Configure modifications' view:

Configure your edit:

• Field to Edit: Title
• How to edit: Set text to value (or other option - go more in depth with How to Edit Text fields here.)

Including Dynamic Values in the Product Title

Optionally, you can click the 'Add dynamic value' option to pull in other data from your store, instead of manually inputting a term.

This is especially useful if you prefer the system to pull data from another text field already specified in your database (ie if you want to make sure the Product Name always includes the Vendor Name).

2. Spreadsheet Edits

Prep your spreadsheet to include new title data to replace existing data, noting the following:

• Leading and trailing white spaces will be removed around title name. For example, if you set the title to " New Product "  with blank spaces on either side, the title will be converted without spaces as "New Product"  
• The maximum length of the title is 255 characters

All new or modified data that is found on the spreadsheet will be processed and added to your store. The system will recognize when there is new or updated title data present on the spreadsheet.
