Allowlisting Our IP Address
When Ablestar Bulk Product Editor downloads a file from your server or from your supplier's server, the connection always comes from this IP address:
34.150.243.97
If the server has a firewall, or only accepts connections from known IP addresses, add this address to its allowlist. The address doesn't change, so you only need to add it once.
Which downloads use this IP address
- Inventory Sync jobs that download a spreadsheet from a web URL, an FTP, FTPS or SFTP server, or Dropbox
- The test download when you set up an Inventory Sync job
- Video and 3D model URLs in your edits and spreadsheets. The app downloads the file and then uploads it to Shopify.
These downloads don't come from this IP address, so you don't need to allow it for them:
- Image URLs. Shopify downloads images directly, so the connection comes from Shopify's servers.
- Google Drive and Google Sheets. The file comes from Google's servers.
FTP and FTPS servers
The app uses passive mode for FTP. The file itself goes over a second connection to a port that the server picks (the passive port range), not over port 21. Make sure your firewall allows connections from 34.150.243.97 to the passive port range as well as to port 21 (or port 990 for implicit FTPS).
SFTP uses one connection, so you only need to allow port 22 (or the port in your URL).
If the connection fails
If a job fails because the connection times out or is refused, the server's firewall probably blocks our IP address. Add 34.150.243.97 to the allowlist and run the job again.
If your server still rejects the connection after you add the address, contact us and include the URL you use (without the password) so we can check it.
