Add Variants Action

You can use Ablestar Bulk Product Editor to modify product variants in bulk. You can add a set of variants to multiple products by choosing to 'add variants' from the 'Field to edit' option:

Choose if you prefer the 'In-App Edit' or 'Spreadsheet' method:

1. In-App Edits

• Click in the 'field to edit' option and type 'add variants'
• Product popup window will appear if requirements are met:

Requirements

To prevent errors, the app will only allow you to add variants to a set of products if they have identical options. For example, you can not add variants to two products at the same time if they have differing option names:

• Product A
  • Option 1 name: Size
  • Option 2 name: Color
• Product B
  • Option 1 name: Color
  • Option 2 name: Size

Adding variants

When you click to 'add variant' a popup window appears which allows you to configure the variant(s) to add. If you want to add multiple option values at once, you can separate them with a comma.

For example, in this screenshot the app will add variants for the sizes 10, 11 and 12:

2. Spreadsheet Edits

Variants can be added to your spreadsheet and uploaded through the bulk editor > 'create products' menu option.

✅ Tips and Troubleshooting

• If your option names do not match exactly you can do an in-app edit for the 'Option 1 name' field to set them to the same value.
• After you add variants you can sort the variants
