How To Bulk Edit the Weight of Products in Shopify

One common attribute that Shopify store owners often need to bulk edit is the weight of their products. Changing the Weight Unit

In Shopify, the product weight unit can be set to kilograms (kg), grams (g), ounces (oz), or pounds (lb). You can bulk edit the weight unit of your products by following the steps below:

1. In the Bulk Product Editor, navigate to the "Products & Variants" section.
2. Select all products or a group of products that you want to edit.
3. Click on the "Edit products" button.

Setting the Weight in Grams

If you prefer to set the weight in grams regardless of the weight unit set for each product, Shopify will automatically convert the weight into the unit of the variant. Here's how to do it:

1. In the Bulk Product Editor, navigate to the "Products & Variants" section.
2. Select all products or a group of products that you want to edit.
3. Click on the "Edit products" button.
4. In the "Add field" dropdown, select "Weight" and click "Add".
5. Enter the desired weight in grams in the "Weight" field. For instance, if you set the weight to 1000 grams, and the product's weight unit is set to pounds, Shopify will convert it to approximately 2.2 pounds.
6. Click "Save" to apply the changes.
