Configuring a Schedule for Inventory Sync

The Inventory Sync feature in our Bulk Product Editor app allows users to automate the process of updating inventory data from a remote source like Google Drive or DropBox. This article will guide you through the steps of configuring the inventory sync schedule, ensuring efficient and timely synchronization.

Time Zone

The schedule is displayed in the time zone of the respective store. Ensure you consider this time zone when setting up the sync.

Understanding the Schedule Options

The scheduling options within the inventory sync tab might appear a bit complex at first. Let's break them down for better understanding:

1) Fixed Time

By default, the job runs every day of the month at a specific time. For instance, if the current configuration is set to 3:05 PM every day of the week, the job will run at that time every day of the week.

2) Specific Times

To run the job at specific times, for example between 10 am and 1 pm at 5 past the hour, select those times accordingly.

3) Business Hours

To schedule the sync during business hours, for example between 9 AM to 6 PM, you can select a frequency that aligns with your requirements.

4) Business Days

If you prefer the sync to occur only on business days, you can configure the schedule accordingly.

Limits and Subscription Plans

The frequency at which a job can run per day is subject to limits based on the subscription plan. Refer to your subscription plan details or contact our support team for information regarding these limits.

In the following example, if we had it run at five past the hour and 45 past the hour, the limit would be 4 times a day and you would receive an error message.

Conclusion

Efficiently managing inventory sync is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory data. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can easily configure the inventory sync schedule within our app.
