Google Shopping - Size

The Size field for Google Shopping allows shoppers to see the size of clothing and shoes. This field is required for most items in the clothing and footwear categories.

Options to Edit Google-Shopping Size Fields

Along with the several 'How to Edit' options available for text fields, this feature also has the ability to delete and remove from Shopify:

Using Dynamic Fields

Optionally, you can click the 'Add dynamic value' option to pull in other data from your store, instead of manually inputting a term.

This is especially useful if you prefer the system to pull data from another text field already specified in your database for these scenarios:

  • You can set a metafield to pull in "[Product title] + [Vendor]"
  • You can extract a value from a tag, so the metafield would be set to 'red' from the tag 'color=red'

2. Spreadsheet Edits

For a spreadsheet edit, the app will do the following with the cell values when you are updating text metafields:

  • If the value in the cell is [DELETE] the metafield will be deleted on Shopify
  • If there is other text in the cell, the metafield will be set to that value
  • If the cell is empty, the row will be skipped

✅ Tips and Troubleshooting

  • The Size field is stored as a product metafield in Shopify. The Google Shopping channel will use the value of the metafield to sync the data to Google Shopping
  • The size field accepts text up to 100 characters in length
  • If a single item has multiple dimensions, like a shirt with a collar and sleeve size, use a slash to separate them. For example "16/34"
