Feature: Search Assist Technology
We now have limited access to a search assistant that can help you with filtering and searching products in Ablestar Bulk Product Editor. This robust functionality can search through exact tag names, vendor names, product types, and collections.
Just describe what you are looking for in plain English and the assistant will start building your search filters. We even have some fuzzy search functionality to help recognize misspelled words while you type.
Configure Setting
Determine if you would like the Search Assist available by default.
From the app dashboard, click Settings → Integrations and features and look for 'AI Search Assist by Default' option.
Turning this setting OFF will turn the Search Assist option OFF, by default. You can still override the setting at any time and once you navigate away from the product view and return, the toggle will reset back to the default setting postion.
Search Assist in Action
Once you are on the In-App Edit product view, search by keyword or filter a smaller set of products.
The new toggle option allows you to specify longer sentence structures or actions to filter. Once the toggle is specified, type in any phrase to find results:
Popular searches might include:
- All products without images
- Tagged with “onsale” or “promo”
- Has compare price
- Has zero inventory
- Missing images
- Products heavier than 2 kg
- All items created before 2024
- Or any of our other favorite filters
Our search assistant understands weight queries in any unit. For example, searching for “products heavier than 2 kg” will automatically be converted to a Weight in grams filter for greater than 2000.
