Generating product descriptions with ChatGPT
Quickly generate or rewrite product descriptions with a click from the product detail pages in the Bulk Product Editor. Powered by ChatGPT, this allows you to efficiently create concise, engaging product descriptions, saving time and effort.
Generating a product description
To generate or rewrite a product's description:
- Search for the product in the app and click on it to go to the product detail page
- Right below the description you'll see an option to rewrite the product description
- Choose the way you want to rewrite the description and then click Rewrite
- Once you see the new description, click on Save at the top of the page to keep your changes
Please review the descriptions before publishing them to ensure that they do not make false claims
Language option for AI descriptions
We have added the ability to set the language for the AI product descriptions in the Settings section. With this update, you will have the option to select the language in which all outputs will be generated.
If you leave the language setting blank, our system will try and automatically detect the correct language for your product descriptions. However, if you prefer to specify a language, you can easily do so by selecting from the dropdown list of available languages.
- Select the language for your AI product descriptions
- Click Save Language
- Open up your product page
- Click Rewrite
Tips
Here are some tips to get you started:
- You can perform multiple rewrites on a description. For example, first you can make it more professional and then you can make it longer
- If you do not have any description yet for the product you can put a few words in the description text box to help jump start the description
Usage Notes
It is currently only possible to update product descriptions one-by-one. We are evaluating options to see if we can do this in bulk.
It may take a little bit for the descriptions to generate. This depends on the load on the service.
All plans have a limit to the number of descriptions you can generate every 30 days. To view your limit go to the 'Settings' section of the app.
